Commonly known as Bach's "French Suite" for keyboard, this two-voice texture provides an effective transcription for instrumental duet. The upper voice (Bb part) is the most technically active and even makes good material for study purposes. The soprano or tenor saxophonist could play the duet in combination with Eb instruments such as baritone saxophone or contra-alto clarinet, or with a bass-clef instrument reading the bottom line as though in bass clef.
